Island Lake

Recently completed I do like this small landscape, the first I've done without wildlife for awhile. It is 16x20. The photo makes it look somewhat more reddish than actual. Done from a photograph in a Tucker Smith book who is a great painter living in Pinedale, Wyoming. This is the Wind River Mountain Range.

The Last Apple

This is a 14x18 which Peg likes, hope you might too. Bob Kuhn painted some interesting black bears once in awhile so thought I would and it turned out well. As you might guess I left the apple out of the painting so you might have something to wonder about. Making you work a little for this one.

60 Below

This is a 16x20 of a wolverine which worked out very nicely. Kind of an unusual subject that I've rarely if ever seen painted by well known wildlife painters. Don't know why unless they only paint what they've seen and these animals are really rare. Ever seen one on a zoo? I've seen two, one north of McCall, Idaho and one in the Yukon on my trip there in 2005.
